Wings of Salvation (WoS) was created from two guilds: BLUE and SKY. After operating together multiple times in WvW and various areas of PvE content and seeing that they not only enjoyed playing together but were also effective, both guilds decided to merge and further expand their communities. At its peaks, WoS has 40-50+ members online; at its valleys, it has 10-15. And it grows every day.
Wings of Salvation enjoys intense WvW battles, defending the points and honor of Devona's Rest at all hours, day and night, and does not stampede around the map in a mindless zerg. Its WvW commanders—seven, at present—are highly skilled. Tactically trained in the use of everything from profession-specific advantage skills, to siege placement capable of giving the edge to a squad of 10 over a horde of 20, to combo fields and finishers, multiple group coordination, objective prioritization and beyond, Wings of Salvation commanders understand the value of strategy in the face of a seemingly overwhelming opposition.
In PvE, Wings of Salvation members are constantly testing their strength and limits, issuing challenges to themselves and their brothers and sisters to improve their skills, builds, and synergistic prowess. They assist each other in conquering dungeons; they issue calls to arms and lead the charge in major world and living story events; they come together with allies to organize the sacking of the temples of Orr. From exploration, to heart completion, to simple farming, Wings of Salvation members are on-call to assist one another whenever—and wherever—the need arises.
For those interested in one-versus-one and small group play, Wings of Salvation also dabbles in sPvP and tournaments. sPvP and tournament-participating members work hard to improve their builds and coordination, and strive to become true masters of their respective professions.
